DAYEREH - دایره
Dayereh (Dayareh) is a frame drum occupying an important place in Iran traditional and classical Persian music, and popular styles of Azeri music.
Dayereh is used in varied social situations, from performances of Persian classical music to performances of street entertainers.
Dayereh is similar to a daf, it can be with or without the attached metal rings. On the other hand, Azeri dayereh’s sound is deeper.
The head of our dayerehs are either synthetic or of natural skin.
Dayereh is also known as Middle-Eastern tambourine, it is also referred to as ghaval, gaval, qaval, dayere, daira, doira, and doyra.
